Time Out says

This two-screen arthouse cinema opened in 2006, in the space once occupied by Shinjuku Bunka Cinema. It's particularly good for Asian cinema, including Taiwanese and Bollywood films, though you'll also catch plenty of Japanese, European and American offerings there. Entry tickets for the two screens (a 335-seat auditorium and cozy 62-seater) are issued on a first come, first served basis on the day of the screening, so it's worth getting there early even if you booked in advance. As if seeking to distinguish itself from the neighbourhood's more eye-catching multiplexes, Shinjuku Cinemart is unusually generous with its discounts: moviegoers can get tickets for ¥1,000 on both a weekly men's and ladies' day (on Monday and Wednesday, respectively), and on the 1st and 25th of the month.
