InterContinental Tokyo Bay

The InterContinental opened in the mid-1990s in the hitherto little-explored Takeshiba area that fronts the Sumida river. Amid the once-industrial surroundings, the luxurious hotel and the adjoining New Pier Takeshiba shopping and dining complex used to stand out like a diamond in a cowpat, but now tower nicely above the quickly developing neighbourhood. The hotel's prime selling point is certainly the view over the river and spectacular Rainbow Bridge toward Odaiba, while the recently renovated rooms offer quality hospitality.
