Time Out says

Painter Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) and his Renaissance contemporaries benefited greatly from the financial support provided to them by powerful patrons like the Medici family, bankers and facilitators of the lucrative Mediterranean trade that helped the city of Florence flourish and grow into one of the most important political and cultural hubs in Europe. This exhibition at Shibuya's Bunkamura shines a light on art masterpieces of that era, as well as on the social conditions that made them possible. A total of around 80 paintings, documents and other works are on display, providing a comprehensive look at the early Renaissance, its main players and way of life.
