Time Out says

One of Asia’s 50 Best Bars, Nutmeg and Clove charts Singapore’s history through cocktails that are undeniably local. Its menu pays homage to Singapore’s history and culture, with  cocktails named after various Singaporean phrases like Stay Calm Lah and Stylo Milo. The bar is also a tribute to its original location at Ann Siang Road (before moving to Purvis Street), which was home to a clove and nutmeg plantation in the 1800s. Its heritage shines through  in its drinks, which incorporate spices like coriander, laksa leaves, and of course, nutmeg and clove.

Nutmeg & Clove’s bar bites stretch the local theme. Dig into snacks inspired by iconic local dishes, like mala sweet potato fries ($14), rendang mac & cheese ($18), and lor bak sandwiches ($21). As long as you’re a lover of Singaporean flavour profiles, there will be much at Nutmeg & Clove to keep you satisfied.

Nutmeg Cocktail Fiesta

  • Food and drink events

On the back of its brand and menu refresh, one of Asia's 50 best bars Nutmeg & Clove is throwing a mega 10th annivesary bash. From May 26 to 30, it's slinging a series of guest shifts and bar takeovers with award-winning bartender friends from all around the world – complete with live DJ sets, performances, and food menu collaborations.  Nutmeg & Clove has a lot to celebrate. It's difficult for any food and drink establishment to last a decade – a testament to how beloved this small bar on Purvis Street is. And it's not just survived, but flourished with multiple entries onto the World's 50 Best Bars (five times) and Asia's 50 Best Bars (four times) lists. In 2023, it locked in at number 7 on the Asia list, the first time it's ever broken into the top 10.  For the Nutmeg Cocktail Fiesta, look forward to a different flavour every night as bartenders from Paris, London, Hong Kong, China, America, Columbia, and Taiwan take turns to shake up a storm. Things kick off with a Parisian Italian Affair on Sunday with CopperBay (Paris) and Drink Kong (Rome), spinning through more prominent names over the next couple of nights: Bar Leone (Hong Kong), Penicillin (Hong Kong), Hope & Sesame (China), Hanky Panky (Mexico), Lady Bee (Peru), and Alquimico (Cartagena). It all culminates in a Nutmeg & Clove reunion, when the greats that first laid the foundation of the bar – Marian Beke from The Gibson, London; Kae Yin from WU, Taiwan; Colin Chia, CEO of Nutmeg Collective – come together for a ce
