Antonio Lai’s – the mastermind behind the likes of Quinary, VEA Lounge, Origin – is a discreet speakeasy on the third floor of the hotel.
Patrons must venture into The Envoy, aka ‘Reception’, to pick up the key card that will allow them entry to Room 309. A narrow sliver of a bar, the establishment’s entire concept is based around ‘imagination’ – hence the Crystal Old Fashioned, a specially distilled concoction that’s transparent. The signature menu is written on a see-through sheet of plastic that appears invisible when the menu is first opened – another embodiment of the ephemeral atmosphere Room 309 seeks to create. Go and judge its success for yourself. As of 2024, the bar has launched its Room of Tales menu, which takes inspiration from classic fairytales like Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Aladdin.
