The Pedra do Sal Environmental Center, in São Pedro do Estoril, will host the exhibition "Atlantic: Sea and Land," with family visits scheduled for the weekend of June 8th and 9th. This marks the culmination of a project developed with kindergarten children, aged between three and five years old, from three schools in three European countries - Portugal, Finland and Hungary.

"We believe that through our actions, activities, lifestyle and way of thinking in Europe, we can reach and influence other places in the world", reads a statement about the initiative, which aims to promote good European sustainability practices. "Since the Atlantic Ocean is a vital resource for our planet, our sustainable educational activities focus on biodiversity and the preservation of the marine ecosystem, which is so important for climate balance".

With the collaboration of the Pedra do Sal Environmental Center and the Associação Portuguesa de Lixo Marinho, the exhibition brings together works created by children throughout the year, while also seeking to demonstrate how we can and should cultivate our marine literacy, be agents of change and invest in the future of our planet.

In addition to this exhibition, which joins the center's permanent exhibition, the program includes observation activities with magnifying glasses and four workshops ("Does our clothing also contain plastic?", "What trash appears on our beaches?", "What is the degradation time of marine litter?" and "Separating hidden trash in the sand"). There will also be films and activities in the auditorium and three outdoor proposals, including a photographic panel.

Pedra do Sal Environmental Center. 8-9 Jun, Sat-Sun 10.00-13.00/ 14.00-18.00. Free entry and free activities
