Located in the centre of a triangle made up by Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, Akasaka Station and Tameike-Sanno Station, Kintan – the upscale version of a now city-wide yakiniku chain of the same name – is a dimly lit restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. It's particularly well known for the Kintan Tongue, a dish priced at a slightly extravagant ¥2,500 but consisting of 200g of meat taken from a prized section of a kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black cow) tongue that’s been aged for twenty days. They also have a range of set course menus, including an all-out omakase (chef's selection) for ¥12,000.
