UPDATE (March 27 2020): The Crafts Gallery has closed permanently. It will reopen in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture, in summer 2020.

Handicrafts and artisanal work from the Meiji era up to the present are displayed at this offshoot of the nearby National Museum of Modern Art. Boasting a 3,300-piece collection of textiles, ceramics, glassware, lacquerware, woodcrafts, dolls and more, the Crafts Gallery offers a wealth of inspiration for aspiring craftspeople.
