Shibuya Hikarie

Never mind Shibuya's reputation as a hub for youth culture: the area's newest – and, at 34 floors, most prominent – addition is courting an older and more refined brand of consumer. The Hikarie building opens on April 26, on the site formerly occupied by the dome-topped Shibuya Tokyu Bunka Kaikan, and will house classy boutiques, restaurants and an arts complex to rival the nearby Bunkamura.
