Time Out says

Aiming to bring joy to the hearts of all that come to visit, Tokyo Midtown is planning a number of different festive light displays this season, including a spectacular illumination named ‘Starlight Garden’ that, situated on their 2,000sqm lawn, will use over 250,000 blue LEDs to create an image of outer space that lights up in stages: beginning with the appearance of a shooting star that leads to a supernova at the centre of the Milky Way and consequently, from the resulting gas and mist, the emergence of a new galaxy.

Additionally, visitors can also look forward to illuminated trees around the grounds and surrounding roadways and a 4m tall ‘Santa Tree’ (created from candles and Santa Claus figures) located on the first floor of the galleria, as well as an ‘Illumination Concierge’ offering in-depth explanations of the various light displays on offer, and an ‘Illumination Tour’ that takes place three times a day, lasts for one hour, and offers a chance to be taken around the various lighting schemes on display within Tokyo Midtown by a specially trained guide.

Note: The Illumination Tour requires advanced registration via the Tokyo Midtown website.
