Australian artist, Kate Rohde, who is based in Melbourne, will be holding her first solo show in Japan in the Koshikawa Annex at the University Museum, the University of Tokyo. The Chamber of Curiosities exhibition will be home to Kate Rhode’s Chamber of Specimen which will also see the University of Tokyo’s scientific specimens on display alongside Kate’s new works. The space, which has been designated as an Important Cultural Property for its quasi-western architecture, contemporary art and scientific specimens provide its own new way of seeing the world.
