While he's best known for the luscious techno that he produces for the Kompakt label under his Kaito moniker, Hiroshi Watanabe also releases music under his own name. To confuse matters further, the latest of these – mix CD Contact to the Spirits 2 – is a sequel to an earlier compilation released as Kaito. But don't let that distract you from what looks like a quality night. Four of the artists featured in the mix will be joining Watanabe for this release party, among them Detroit dub techno doyens Deepchord presents Echospace (aka Rod Modell and Steven Hitchell) and Laurent Garnier fave Jun Yamabe aka Mexico.
