Auto enthusiasts are in for a treat as the world's largest custom car show unfurls at Makuhari Messe during the second weekend of January. Mazda, Nissan and Subaru are just a few of the major automakers due to unveil concept cars and customised versions of their regular models at Tokyo Auto Salon 2012, which features 350 companies in total. Also keep an eye out for the numerous examples of Japan's homegrown tuning scene – oh, and for the scantily clad 'booth babes' who tend to monopolise the event's countless photo ops.
