Poland New Music Festival

Improv guitarist Kazuhisa Uchihashi has assembled an impressive collection of Polish musical mavericks – all of whom are visiting Japan for the first time – for this two-day fest at Pit Inn. The first day sees performances from avant electro-jazz duo Mikrokolektyw, freeform sax-drum unit Slug Duo, synth-wielding out-rockers LXMP, chamber improv pals SzaZa, and two groups featuring Uchihashi himself. On day two, meanwhile, the assembled musicians will launch off on a series of one-off collaborations, with additional guest appearances by Uchihashi, Hikashu vocalist Koichi Makigami and drummers Tatsuya Yoshia and Nori Tanaka.
