Toshima Tanabata Matsuri (2015)

The extensive Toshima shopping arcade north of Oji Station is perhaps best known for this annual Tanabata celebration, which sees the entire 600m street decorated for the occasion. A variety of events will be taking place throughout early August, but the highlight is on August 8, when a samba parade lends some Brazilian flavour to the streets of Kita-ku.
