Time Out says

Best known in the West for his notorious 1976 exposé In the Realm of the Senses, director Nagisa Oshima (1932-2013) also broke plenty of non-sexual taboos over his four-decade career, touching on themes from war and war guilt (Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence) to the plight of zainichi Koreans (Death by Hanging), spiritual liberation (Diary of a Shinjuku Thief) and the suffocating impact of tradition (The Ceremony). This programme at Shibuya's Image Forum is curated by Oshima's son Shin and features original 35mm versions of 12 of the auteur's finest works (see the list here). The full programme can be found here (in Japanese only).
