Time Out says

Azabu-Juban gallery Take Ninagawa highlights photographer Akira Sato (1930-2002) with this display focusing on the black-and-white series of girls that this postwar visionary is best known for. A member of the Vivo collective, which also included the likes of Eikoh Hosoe and Ikko Narahara, Sato travelled widely in Europe in his later years, documenting the 'white nights' of Scandinavia and the silent charms of cities like Vienna and Prague. Although the exhibit incorporates some of this work, it mainly emphasises the artist's earlier, Japan-based shots.
