Nothing like a bit of cherry blossom to make you want to dance all afternoon, eh? The annual Harukaze party again welcomes the coming of hanami season with two days of free music in Yoyogi Park, complemented by market stalls, NGO booths and vendors selling hippy-friendly food and drink. Raising awareness and funds for a variety of causes, mainly the continuing plight of evacuees in Tohoku's tsunami-affected areas, this year's version will feature tribal tunes played by the likes of the Oki Dub Ainu Band and Rabi Rabi, while indie DJs including Yogurt, Groundo and Lil'Mofo will also be showing off their stuff. More artist announcements are expected in the weeks to come.
