Music festival Punkspring is returning to Tokyo after the pandemic. While it’ll be held on a smaller scale compared to previous editions, this year’s event still has a stellar headliner in the form of emo band My Chemical Romance. This will be the band's first show in Japan since they reformed in 2019.
The 2023 lineup includes more head-banging bands like Simple Plan, Bad Religion and The Interrupters, as well as Japanese punk rock bands 04 Limited, Sazabys, The Bonez, Hey-Smith, Ash Da Hero and Totalfat.
A standard ticket goes for ¥14,000 and includes one drink. The Gold ticket, on the other hand, will set you back ¥20,000, but it comes with perks including access to a designated viewing area closer to the stage and an exclusive bar, priority lanes to get into the venue, free cloakroom service and a Punkspring crossbody bag. Both tickets are now available online.
