JR Exhibition

Mysterious French artist JR mixes photography and street art, capturing poverty, discrimination and other social ills with his camera before printing his shots onto huge posters and putting them up in inconvenient locations. Having started out on the streets of Paris around 2000, he's worked all over the world in recent years, increasingly earning recognition for his ambitious projects, including the Israel-Palestine undertaking 'Face2Face' and 'Wrinkles of the City', an investigation of the elderly inhabitants of Cartagena, Spain. This exhibition displays a selection of JR's lithographs, and many of the pieces are available for purchase as well.
